Tribe Celebrates Opening of New Treatment Center

Summary and Analysis…

A new wellness center was opened in Washington by a local indian tribe. The center grew out of one family’s pain at loosing a son to addiction and will incorporate Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

The opening ceremony included the reading of 44 names of people who went through treatment and are now drug- and alcohol-free. Unfortunately, the article does not discuss the treatment provided to attain that result or if any of the 44 are continuing to take maintenance drugs such as methadone.
